Vision & Pillars
What I'll Fight For
My vision for Hilton Head Island is straightforward: put residents first, listen carefully, and lead with integrity.
- 01
Put Residents First
I'll make it easier, not harder, for residents to participate, be heard, and understand what's happening in their government. Residents will be welcomed in Town Hall, not treated like they don't matter.
- 02
Get Decisions Moving
I'll gut the current Strategic Action Plan. It's too much and doesn't allow for focus on the immediate needs of the Town. I'll set clear priorities, timelines, and accountability so major issues like the LMO, transportation, and public safety don't continue lingering for years.
- 03
Strengthen Public Safety
I'll focus on prevention and protection across our roads, pathways, beaches, parks, neighborhoods, and business districts while strengthening our partnership with BCSO. I'll begin a process to examine if we should consider increasing public safety measures locally.
- 04
Bring Council Together
I'll communicate with council members early, share information, listen to their ideas, and work to build consensus before important issues reach the dais. I won't control them, set their agendas, or embarrass them. I'll empower them.
- 05
Demand Accountability for Taxpayer Dollars
I will lead a process to ensure every significant expenditure has a clear purpose, measurable results, and appropriate public oversight.
- 06
Protect What Makes Hilton Head Special
I'll lead balanced responsible growth with protecting our environment, neighborhoods, quality of life, and the character of our island.
- 07
Prepare Hilton Head for What's Next
I'll lead efforts to start planning now for the economic, technological, transportation, workforce, and infrastructure changes coming over the next four years and beyond.
"The people of Hilton Head deserve to know that every major decision begins with one simple question: Will this make our community safer, stronger, and more livable?"
